The goal of this study is to evaluate the use of pizza
combined with scientifically designed food supplements
(PrescriptFit™ shakes and soups) to promote positive
health outcomes while achieving weight loss.
Stanford A. Owen, M.D. developed this study to measure
weight loss, improved symptoms, and compliance with this
diet plan. A secondary goal is to measure cost savings
compared to usual American diet costs. This study is
limited to 300 volunteers.
A companion sub-study is offered to 40 volunteers
to measure blood sugar and triglyceride (blood fat)
response to pizza alone, then pizza plus PrescriptFit™
products. The sub-study will be performed at Dr. Owen's
clinic in Gulfport, Mississippi.
